The purpose of the Consello da Cultura Galega is the defense and promotion of the cultural values of the Galician people, including documentary heritage. The collections gathered in this repository are part of the documentation generated and received by the institution in the exercise of its functions and activities, from donations from cultural associations and from personal and family archives.

The Documentation Area of the CCG (composed of the Arquivo da Emigración Galega, Arquivo Sonoro de Galicia, Centro de Documentación Sociolingüística de Galicia, Centro de Documentación en Igualdade e Feminismos, and the Library and archive) is responsible for their management and documentary processing, in order to make them available to the public and contribute to research and culture.

IN FOCUS

We begin the online dissemination of the MFOG materials collected in the Memory in Movement project of the CDIF. This collection pays special attention to independent feminist groups and collectives, as well as to feminist structures integrated into mixed organizations that, since the 1960s, have developed and continue to develop their activity in Galicia. Their archives constitute a fundamental testimony to the struggles, collective strategies, and social transformations driven by the organized feminist movement.

We inaugurate this space with the documentation of 11 organizations. This is only the beginning. The online publication of these materials responds to the desire to guarantee public access to this collective memory, favoring its preservation and facilitating new research, readings, and recognitions.

Fondos documentais do Consello da Cultura Galega

O Consello da Cultura Galega ten como finalidade a defensa e promoción dos valores culturais do pobo galego, entre eles o patrimonio documental. Os fondos recollidos neste repositorio forman parte da documentación xerada e recibida pola institución no exercicio das súas funcións e actividades, de doazóns procedentes de asociacións culturais e de arquivos persoais e familiares. A Área de Documentación do CCG (integrada polo Arquivo da Emigración Galega, Arquivo Sonoro de Galicia, Centro de Documentación Sociolingüística de Galicia, Centro de Documentación en Igualdade e Feminismos e máis a Biblioteca e arquivo) ocúpase da súa xestión e tratamento documental, co obxecto de poñelos a disposición do público e contribuír á investigación e á cultura.
